Oleksandr Polivodskyy reveals to foreign investors special aspects of Ukrainian land law

Key milestones of development of Ukrainian land and agrarian law, its key concepts, taxation principles and existing business concerns in Ukraine.

Sofiya Law Firm partner Mr Oleksandr Polivodskyy has provided the overview of the abovementioned matters for a delegation of Argentinean business persons during a business meeting organised by Ukraine’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Argentina’s Ambassador to Ukraine Ms Elena Leticia Tereza Mikusinski, the head and experts of the Embassy’s trade and economic department were among the attendees.

When speaking about challenges agribusinesses face in Ukraine, Mr Polivodskyy has cast his assessment of the existing business environment and dwelled on some aspects of the land market (including the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land), trends regarding the harmonisation of the Ukrainian and EU laws, the matters of licensing and public oversight.

Mr Hennadii Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, moderated the meeting attended by 20 business persons from Argentina.
