Oleksandr Polivodskyy appointed to chair Agrarian and Land Law Committee of Ukrainian National Bar Association


The Ukrainian National Bar Association has established an Agrarian and Land Law Committee, which will look into the matters of protection of rights of persons, exchange of information with colleagues, development of judicial and extrajudicial defence of the rights and interests of parties to agrarian and land legal relations.

Sofiya Law Firm partner and attorney Mr Oleksandr Polivodskyy has been appointed to chair the Committee and has announced its first meeting in the coming days.

‘We intend to unite agrarian and land law experts to guarantee the protection of rights and interests of individuals and legal entities, to improve law enforcement and to develop the legal community’s stance on the current issues of the sector,’ the expert has pointed out.

Oleksandr Polivodskyy is a PhD in Law, Associate Professor and Research Scientist of V. Koretskyi Law and State Institute, an Associate Professor of the Department of Private Law of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, a Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Entrepreneurs of the Agribusiness Industry of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, and an advisor to a number of public organizations in the agrarian sector.

Oleksandr authored more than seventy publications for scholar and professional publications and was ranked among the top one hundred Ukrainian lawyers according to the Yurydychna Gazeta newspaper in the 2012-2013 and 2014-2015 rating lists. Domestic and international ratings have recommended Mr Polivodskyy as a lawyer specialised in agrarian and land law. International organisations, such as IFC, WB, EC, and EBRD, have on numerous occasions engaged Mr Polivodksyy as a legal advisor.
